SEVEN CHAKRAS

Photo: CHAKRAS :

Our body contains energy centers called chakras. Chakras are whirling centers of energy that vibrate at a specific frequency and control the different areas of our life. There are thousands of chakras in the body, however, the seven ones located along the spinal column are the main ones. Each chakras corresponds with a gland in the endorcrine system. Our chakras store prana or energy. They also regulate distribution on energy and provide a connection to higher states of being.

Unfortunately, in most people, the chakras are not running at their full capacity. The chakras can become sluggish and disharmonious from many impurities. From the foods we eat, to the feelings we repress, to the negative thoughts that we entertain...many things can cause our chakras to not work properly. Once the pranic flow gets disturbed, the glands and organs that the chakra controls will begin to malfunction. We should purify our chakras to achieve perfect health and over all well-being. A pure chakra system can be attained by meditation, sounds, mantra and visualization of any of the aspects of the chakras including its form, deity, location, element and color.
